Wife, Shelly is a 2nd grade teacher at Benjamin Elementary in Unit 5, Carly, Chase, and Camry.


Driver Education Experience:
Chuck started teaching Driver Education in 1995 at both public and private high schools. Former head of Driver Education at Normal Community High School. Has successfully taught thousands of students of all abilities.


Driver Education Awards, Experiences and Accomplishments:

    • Mr. Fisher was the Vice-President of the Tri-County Operation Cool Program for three years. This program gives away a brand new car every year to one lucky teen driver.
    • Mr. Fisher was selected by State Farm Insurance to attend the 1st National Teen Driver Safety Week in Washington, D.C. October (2007). Only four schools in Illinois were selected for this.
    • Mr. Fisher was awarded 1 of 105 “Safe Teen Driver Awards” in 2008 sponsored by All State Insurance and the Illinois Department of Transportation. Normal Community High School received $2000 and an additional $1000 this summer to continue their program. NCHS was the only school in Bloomington-Normal to receive this grant/award.
    • Received the top 25 Project Ignition $2000 Award funded by State Farm for Normal Community High School in 2004
    • Received the top 25 Project Ignition $2000 Award funded by State Farm for Central Catholic HS in 2006
    • Received the Top 6 Driver Safety Program funded by IDOT for Normal Community HS in 2006
    • Normal Community High School hosted the Operation Cool Grand Finale in 2008. This was the 11th anniversary for this event started by Dewitt County Sheriff Roger Massey. Mr. Fisher is also the Vice-President of Operation Cool. NCHS was voted top school for the highest seat belt percentage among three counties at 96%. Students and parents from 20 different high schools attended NCHS for this event.
    • Normal Community High School was picked as the school to debut the brand new Illinois Sate Police Roll-over Simulator sponsored by AAA in 2008 and the Seat Belt Convincer sponsored by State Farm Insurance in 2006. Five different media outlets covered the event and State Representative Dan Brady was present.
    • Normal Community High School and Central Catholic High School were selected to attend the “Great Lakes Teen Safe Driving Conference” held April 18, 2008. The event was held in Algonquin, Illinois and sponsored by State Farm Insurance. NCHS and CCHS students and Mr. Fisher attended the conference.
    • Member of the Illinois High School and College Driver Education Association and also the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association
    • Mr. Fisher awarded three students the Illinois State Police “Saved By The Belt Award” during a media event held at State Farm Insurance on May 31, 2007.
    • Mr. Fisher has been a guest speaker for several organizations regarding teen drivers. He has spoken during workshops at State Farm Insurance and presented during State Farm Safety Days.
    • Driver Education students at Normal Community High School produced two Behind The Wheel public service announcements that were shown on HOI news in 2006.
